Main duties of the job
As we develop our All Age Eating Disorder Service we are keen to welcome dynamic, passionate Mental Health Nurses to our specialty.
Nurse have a wide role in delivering care and treatment in line with the evidence base to people who have an eating disorder. Our team is a great place to feel part of exciting eating disorder developments.
We are able to provide training to the right candidates and support development in nurses who already have eating disorders experience and training.
We are able to offer development posts from a band 5 to band 6 for less experienced nurses who would be interested in developing specialised skills.
About us
The All Age Eating Disorder Service is forward thinking in developing care across the age range using evidence based treatments and providing quality, safe and prompt interventions.
We are in the process of delivering our all age model across the whole of the Black Country and developing our outreach model. We are looking for dynamic nurses to join our team. We have posts with a variety of hours and across the age range as well as bases in all 4 localities. This means we can be flexible in finding the right post for your requirements. The service is part of the FREED network to deliver care for early intervention in the treatment of eating disorders and we are ensuring all of the service will deliver on prompt access and waiting times across the service regardless of age. The service is building its existing pathways around severe enduring eating disorders, ARFID, and physical health care. Our most recent CQC inspection of the service rated us Good in all areas and Outstanding in responsiveness and our vision is to work as a team to continuously improve.

Nurses are a valued part of the eating disorder team. We are looking to recruit highly skilled and experienced nurses preferably with demonstrable eating disorder experience perhaps within community or inpatient care who are able to work at Band 6 in supporting patients, the team and other agencies to ensure safe care of our patients. Nurses deliver evidence based interventions such as MANTRA, CBT-E and FT-AN dependent upon patient age and need. They are also an essential part of ensuring the physical and mental health risks are managed through effective risk management and incorporates MARSIPAN guidance. These posts are to work predominantly with adults.
