Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse to commence in Dudley Child & Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) Service.

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed individual to join our team. We are an energetic and hardworking team working with children and young people from the age of 0-18. We are a fully integrated multi-disciplinary team comprising Clinical Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Family Therapists, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Social Worker, Psychiatrists and Youth Offending Team. The team also takes a range of students on practice placements.

Main duties of the job

  • To be part of the day to day delivery of clinical services provided by the core CAMHS service which includes neurodevelopmental clinics.
  • To complete specialist assessments, outcome measures and care plans for specific diagnoses associated with child and adolescent mental health
  • Work in collaboration with the senior team with regards to day to day issues that may arise through effective and proactive agreed communication.
  • To contribute to the clinical management of a team caseload of clients with complex needs, using CPA principles, evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions, which will be delivered mainly in the home or community setting.
  • To support care co-ordination within the team and attend relevant professionals meetings as required.
