High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) Therapist

The IAPT programme supports the frontline NHS in implementing NICE for people with Depression and anxiety. The team offers a range of psychological therapies to treat people and bring them to recovery, using a system of stepped care.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking highly motivated individuals who will be expected to demonstrate competence and have experience working in mental health services (previous IAPT experience would be advantageous). You will deliver Step 3 intervention to clients presenting with Depression and/or anxiety disorders.
Candidates are also expected to engage themselves in clinical supervision and case management, both in delivering and receiving, and be willing to undertake CPD. Candidates must be able to demonstrate that they have a strong commitment to high quality client care, good organisational skills, can prioritise their workload and have excellent communication abilities.

The post holder will work with clients who have a range of complex anxiety and Depression related problems for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective.
The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and they should be committed to equal opportunities.
