Sandwell Healthy Minds is part of Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The IAPT programme supports the frontline NHS in implementing NICE for people with Depression and anxiety. The team offers a range of psychological therapies to treat people and bring them to recovery, using a system of stepped care.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking highly motivated individuals who will be expected to demonstrate competence and have experience working in mental health services (previous IAPT experience would be advantageous). You will deliver Step 3 intervention to clients presenting with Depression and/or anxiety disorders.

Candidates are also expected to engage themselves in clinical supervision and case management, both in delivering and receiving, and be willing to undertake CPD. Candidates must be able to demonstrate that they have a strong commitment to high quality client care, good organisational skills, can prioritise their workload and have excellent communication abilities.

  • Postgradate Diploma in High Intensity Psychological Interventions - CBT

Desirable

  • EMDR Practitioner
  • Completed Training in Long Term Conditions

Qualifications

  • Worked in a Primary Care Mental Health Service as a CBT Therapist
  • Ability to meet service targets
  • Ability to manage your own caseload and time
  • Experience with routine outcome monitoring
  • Experience of teaching or liasing with other Health Professionals

Desirable

  • Fully accredited with the BABCP

Knowledge

Essential

  • Demontrates an understanding of the stepped care model and the need to use Evidence Based Treatment

  • Knowledge of medication used in Anxiety and Depression
