We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Emotional Health and Wellbeing Practitioner to join a team that are dedicated to working with children and young people in care, carers and care leavers who are either living in the Dudley area or live within a 20-mile radius but are the responsibility of the Dudley Local Authority.
This is a wonderful opportunity for someone that would be dedicated and would want the prospect of supporting and making a difference to the lives of these children. We have developed a model that now allows us to have the funding to recruit a mental health practitioner to join the team to further compliment the existing team.
The post holder would join the Dudley Lighthouse Links team to improve outcomes for children and young people, in providing specialist skills and knowledge through assessment, treatment, consultation and training for them and for Foster Carers, Special Guardianship carers, Residential Carers, Social Workers, Education and other agencies in the supporting network.
Main duties of the job
The team would like to welcome an experienced Mental Health Practitioner into the team to enhance the expertise that is available. The role would consist of managing a caseload, assessments, formulations, group work to support the children and young people, care leavers and carers.
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual with a keenness and ability to integrate your current skills and apply them in this context. Important qualities are good communication skills, working co-operatively and thinking creatively.
