Job purpose:
To provide inspiring leadership for the Continuity of Carer teams.This will involve continuing to deliver local leadership that will realise the national vision as set out within Better Births (2016). Improved outcomes and experiences will be achieved through safe, high quality care based on relationships of mutual trust and respect in line with women's decisions.
Job information:
- Provide high quality, evidence-based care via Continuity of Carer.
- To enable midwives in small teams to support women throughout the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods in all settings including the community, hospital and women's homes.
- The post-holder will provide 24 hour managerial responsibility for the teams they lead and will be required to manage budgets at team level.
Please note: JD/PS will outline role/responsibilities for both CoC and HBT. This role is specifically for Lead Midwife for CoC. Lead Midwife for Homebirth Team is a role that is already filled permanently.
