Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an MDT and Data Co-ordinator based at the Children's Hospital site within the Blood, Stem Cell Transplant and Cancer (BSC) department. The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination of multidisciplinary (MDT) team meetings within the BSC team as well as providing data management support for all nationally mandated data collections such as the cancer waiting times monitoring dataset, Cancer Outcomes and Services dataset (COSD) and Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy dataset (SACT) and administrative support to meet accreditation standards.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and well-motivated MDT and Data Co-ordinator able to manage an independent workload and confident in assuming responsibility for a role which is integral to the BSC service. You will need to have strong organizational skills, be capable of working to deadlines and have a high degree of data accuracy.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for co-ordination and organisation of MDT meetings within the Blood, Stem Cell and Cancer department attending and minuting MDT meetings, recording relevant cancer information along a patient's journey, ensuring that patients are treated within the relevant timescales and identifying any breaches of the cancer waiting times targets.
The post holder will also support the data management function by collecting relevant cancer data along a patient's journey, supporting compliance with the national cancer datasets as well as providing data support for research studies, clinical audit and other ad hoc data requests.
