Job summary

The post holder will support the Head of Contracting & Costing by leading on the negotiation and management of the Trust's acute contracts, with a particular emphasis on managing the delegation of specialised services to ICBs. They will be responsible for an acute contract budget of circa £550m, ensuring the Trust is providing value for money services that meet the demands of service users through proactive and effective contracting and commissioning arrangements.

Main duties of the job

This is a senior leadership role with autonomy to shape the Trust's contracting, finance and performance portfolio to ensure that our acute contracts are negotiated and managed effectively. The post holder will be required to influence decisions which will impact on the future strategy of the Trust, supporting the Head of Contracting & Costing and Divisional Directors in driving service transformation and change.
