Job summary
This post represents an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic clinical team in Paediatric Cardiology contributing to the on-going development of clinical services, supporting high quality patient care, managing patient flow, improving patient experience around pre-admission and discharge and working closely with medical and surgical colleagues in inpatient areas to support the management of cardiac patients.
Main duties of the job
This is a new Physicians Associate post working within the Paediatric Cardiology team in care delivery predominantly for inpatients on wards 11 and 12, but also the care of acute and planned admissions and with the potential for involvement in outpatient pre-admission clinics.
The Heart Unit at BWC comprises a multi-disciplinary team, which provides a nationally and internationally recognised level of care for highly complex cardiac conditions.
The Unit is based on Wards 11 and 12 and has 35 beds including high dependency beds embedded within each ward. There is a large cardiac presence in PICU.
