Job summary

To assist the ward manager & CNS in the provision of clinical leadership and to be a clinical role model to the team. To act on behalf of and deputise as directed by the ward manager & CNS in their absence and provide quality evidence-based nursing advice support and care for young people with mental health needs and their carers within a multidisciplinary setting.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work on one of the 3 Inpatient CAMHS wards located at Parkview Clinic in Moseley.

The post holder will provide clinical and managerial nursing leadership at ward level and deputise for the ward manager and/or clinical nurse specialist.

The post holder is expected to work with a large nursing team and a multi-disciplinary team jointly planning, implementing and evaluating patient care; supporting them and their families through their admission pathway.

The post holder will be expected to mentor both students and their nursing team, carrying out appraisals and offering clinical supervision.
