Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our award-winning Fundraising Team at Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital Charity. The Fundraising Hub Officer will join our Public Fundraising team to help us run the Fundraising Hub onsite at Birmingham Children's Hospital.
Working closely with the Senior Engagement Officer, the Fundraising Hub Officer will be responsible for delivering an excellent supporter experience within our Fundraising Hub. As one of the first points of contact with our charity, building relationships with our customers, supporters and patients to help inform and inspire them about our charity is a key area of this role.
As well as promoting fundraising activities, the post holder will support with delivering our merchandise range, managing our stock on a day to day basis which will ultimately benefit the patients and families in our care.
The ideal candidate will have strong customer service experience and communication skills, as well as a passion for Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity. They will be a self-starter with an attention to detail, along with the ability to develop and grow lasting relationships with supporters and colleagues.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder will deputise for the Senior Fundraising Engagement Officer when required
- The post holder will lead on small scale Fundraising Hub projects, providing regular progress reports and evaluations to ManagementThe post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Fundraising Hub, working unsupervised and autonomously in line with departmental procedures and policies
- The post holder will act as the first point of contact for fundraising within the Hospital, a key pillar of the organisations strategy.
- The post holder will be responsible for day-to-day stock management, and will be the first point of contact for merchandise as well as taking the lead in providing the necessary stock management and ordering.
- This post holder will contribute to the continuous development of activities, systems and processes relating to all aspects of merchandise, fundraising and be responsible for the day to day administrative tasks required for supporters.
- The post holder should be aware of supporters needs and to ensure appropriate fundraising information is displayed, maintained and refreshed when required and that this information is easily accessible within the Fundraising Hub.
- The post holder will work with the Senior Fundraising Engagement Officer in developing income strategies and will contribute to the delivery of income targets, and budget management of merchandise for the hospital's charity to benefit the patients and families in our care.
