Job summary
To support the Workforce Service Manager to ensure all business and Financial Accounting functions are carried out and all accounting standards recognised by NHS Improvement (the Trust's regulator) are adhered to along with all Policies and Procedures approved by the Trust and its subsidiaries.
The post-holder will process accounting information in accordance with the agreed monthly accounting timetable thereby ensuring that department reporting requirements are consistently achieved.
Main duties of the job
Maintain the Trust's financial ledgers and assist in providing valued, accurate support and advice to senior finance colleagues.
To manage, plan and deliver high quality business support providing effective, confidential, and administrative support on a day to day basis to the Workforce Service Manager.
To undertake and manage a variety of projects on behalf of the Workforce service manager and the wider Education Learning Team, including CPD funding, Intranet and Internet, BWC charities scholarships internal/external marketing and financial management.
To manage the daily operations of Business Support Unit and Education administration staff via guidance on finance, course bookings, Intranet/Internet and marketing activities.
Liaising with internal and external managers to ensure clarification of education requirements, managing and facilitating payment to the Trust from both internal and external bodies; including the identification and management of associated risks.
Support with management of the Education and Learning sales and purchase ledger accounts ensuring that income and expenditure is processed on a daily basis and reported to senior management team each monthly.
