Job summary

The ICT department at Birmingham Womens and Childrens NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an inspirational, proactive, experienced Clinical PACS professional (Radiographer/ Healthcare) to manage the PACS and IMS (RIS) system across the Trust.

This is a key position within the Clinical Systems Team liaising with multiple clinical staff both within and external to the Trust to support all clinical systems across both sites. An enthusiastic, flexible and conscientious approach is required as is good communication skills and front-line people skills.

Main duties of the job

The PACS and IMS Manager will manage the delivery of the PACS and IMS systems providing expert advice and will deputies for the Clinical System Manager when required. The applicant will need to demonstrate a clear history of working within a clinical application setting in a sometimes challenging yet highly rewarding environment. Current applications in use at the Trust are; Agfa RIS and Scheduler, Agfa Impax, ViewPoint (BWH), Agfa HeartStation and Agfa Enterprise Imaging, Qualum Dose Monitoring Solution and TeraRecon. Experience of problem solving, training and/or demonstrating systems would be required. The role involves working alongside project support to deploy systems across the Trust, and also involves working independently within a team driven environment. This position would be required to participate in the on-call rota. Interviews to be held on 23.3.23

  • As Line manager for the service the post-holder may be exposed to occasional distressing & emotional circumstances in respect of dealing with staffing issues
