Job summary

We are looking for an Experienced motivated paediatric nurse to join the site practitioner team to enhance knowledge and skills and work part of the hospital @ night team.

An opportunity to work alongside the medical team delivering safe effective care out of hours multi-speciality including Medicine, Respiratory, Liver, Surgery as well as covering the paediatric assessment clinical intervention and education (PACE) service supporting the wards in the delivery of HDU level care outside of PICU, early. recognition and intervention of deteriorating children

Main duties of the job

This is an exciting opportunity for you to gain enhanced nursing skills and work as part of a wider multi-Disciplinary team, with educational and learning opportunities available to you.

  • Recent & extensive experience in an acute setting as an experienced band 5 or 6
  • Ability to make autonomous clinical decisions
  • Ability to recognise and act upon the need for immediate medical intervention
  • Demonstrate clinical competence in skills ie: cannulation/ Venepuncture,Tracheostomy,CPAP
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Evidence of formal & Informal teaching
  • Good understanding of safeguarding children
