This is an
exciting opportunity to work the Children and Young Peoples Cancer Unit at
Birmingham Childrens Hospital called Waterfall house, one of
the UKs largest Primary Treatment Centres for Paediatric Oncology and
Haematology. You could make a real difference to the lives of families across
the region affected by childhood cancer.
We are looking for enthusiastic nurses to work within our in-patient
Haematology/Oncology wards. Ward 18 is a 24 - bedded in-patient ward, including
a TYA 6-bedded area. Ward 18 cares for children from 0-16 years. The ward cares
for children and young people with all blood disorders and malignancies.
Ward 19 is an 8 bedded in-patient unit, caring for
children undergoing Stem Cell Transplant.
Main duties of the job
You should have previous clinical experience within
a paediatric setting, excellent communication skills, be well organized, thrive
in a busy and challenging environment, and enjoy working as a key member of a
multi-professional team.

continuing professional development.
