Clinical Nurse Specialist Complex care and CAMHS discharge coordinator

Have you got a wealth of experience in working with children and young people with mental health difficulties? Do you have a passion for problem solving and ensuring CYP get the right care at the right time? Then this could be the post for you!

We are excited to announce that we have a clinical nurse specialist and CAMHS discharge coordinator role within the complex care team.

The role is a varied one, no two days look the same, but you can be guaranteed opportunities to develop your skills and to build knowledge and understanding of the many agencies supporting young people across Birmingham.

Main duties of the job

The post will involve signposting and liaison within young peoples wider care networks, specialist clinical input to children, young people and staff, offering support and education to colleagues around funding processes and C(E)TR and offering support to overcoming barriers to discharge. In addition to ensuring that young people are on the right clinical pathway at the right time.

  • Working in a multi-disciplinary team and leading teams through change.
  • Experienced in the use of therapeutic interventions with care experienced children and young adults
  • Providing consultation to staff teams.
  • Experience of supervising other staff
