Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Recruitment Advisor (Pre-employment / Onboarding) to join our resourcing department at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust (BWC). This role has become available following an internal fixed term promotion.Our recruitment team work closely with our hiring managers across Birmingham Children's Hospital, Birmingham Women's Hospital, Mental Health Services / Forward Thinking Birmingham and our subsidiary companies to ensure vacancies are filled as efficiently and safely as possible.This role is part time, 30hrs per week. The opportunity for compressed hours or a job share can also be considered.The Role
Our Recruitment Advisors oversee a caseload for a variety of vacancies from the point of job advertisement, through to candidate offer and start date.We have recently gone live with a new recruitment and onboarding system called Trac. This opportunity will involve maintaining the recruitment dashboard in Trac, ensuring the Trust's recruitment policy, process , metrics and legal requirements are adhered to.
Our recruitment team aim to deliver a first-class candidate experience by:
- Providing an efficient recruitment service
- Proactively following up outstanding pre-employment checks
- Maintaining regular communication throughout the recruitment journey
Main duties of the job
A key part of the role is to establish good working relationships with various hiring managers, providing knowledge and support on all aspects of the recruitment process, Trac recruitment system and promoting recruitment best practice.
This role will be supported by an experienced, well-established recruitment team.

At present, the recruitment team are working flexibly between the Birmingham Children's Hospital and from home on a rota basis (this may be subject to change in future).The Successful Candidate
We are looking for someone who is passionate about working in recruitment with some experience in this field (as a minimum). Experience of completing recruitment administration tasks / processing pre-employment checks and onboarding tasks is essential. Ideally, the successful applicant will have also gained experience working with a Recruitment / Applicant Tracking System (ATS) e.g. Trac jobs (or equivalent)
This role will suit an excellent communicator who is organised to oversee and prioritise a recruitment caseload whilst meeting deadlines.
We are looking for a Recruitment Advisor who is personable, approachable and has excellent attention to detail.
Interviews will take place W/C 18th December 2023.
