Job summary
An exciting opportunity for an experienced data administrator/support secretary to join our Endocrinology Department CEW Service. The post holder with help support the service and trust via accurate data entry and records. Working strictly in accordance with the Document Management Protocol and other administrative protocols, this will also include inputting confidential information.
Candidates will be self-motivated and possess or be working towards an RSA II qualification (or equivalent) or comparable admin/medical secretarial experience. You will enjoy working within a multi-disciplinary team and have the ability to relate to children, parents and members of the public. This will be complemented by excellent organisational and communication skills.

Main duties of the job
- Ensure the Team are organised effectively and efficiently so that they are able to operate all of their clinical and non-clinical commitments.
- Patient episodes are organised effectively and efficiently so that the patients are seen without clinical risk and within NHS guidelines and standards.
- The Trust is able to accurately review and report compliance with relevant NHS guidelines and standards with regard to waiting times and patient activity.
- Actions resulting from each patient episode are planned and followed up within agreed timescales.
- Investigations and treatments are recorded in a timely manner so as to not delay reporting to NHSE
- Report faults to software supplier and track progress
- Results are collated and available for each in a timely manner
- To enter and maintain data on patients into NHSE database as appropriate.
- Patient admission episodes are planned and organised effectively and efficiently and documented in a timely manner into the database
- To ensure the timely production of an accurate clinical record of each patient episode, using relevant IT systems and databases, including casenote tracking system, liaising with relevant clinical and non-clinical departments.
