Job summary
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced qualified Plaster Technician to join our Multidisciplinary Team at the Birmingham Children's Hospital. The successful candidate will be expected to uphold our Trust values, becoming an Ambitious, Brave and Compassionate team member to deliver outstanding care to our patients. You will become part of the team running the Fracture clinic, with expectations to join the theatre team during orthopaedic surgeries.
*PLEASE NOTE* - Shortlisted candidates who are invited for an interview will be expected to participate in a short practical examination during the day of their interview.
Main duties of the job
The candidate will be expected to co-ordinate the day to day running of the plaster room within the fracture clinic, providing the most up to date evidence based practice to our children, young people and their families. You will maintain stock levels, and work within a team to maintain a safe working environment in accordance with our trust policies. You will be expected to manage your own mandatory training requirements, via both Moodle (online) and face to face sessions.
