Job summary
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Cardiographer to join our very busy, dynamic and continually expanding Heart Investigation Unit at Birmingham Childrens Hospital. This position is ideally suited to someone who is looking to move into a clinical role or someone who is interested in a secondment to learn more about cardiology.
The successful candidate will be someone who has either worked in paediatric cardiology before or has a desire to work with children. They will be excited about cardiology, wanting to work in a dynamic team and enthusiastic to work alongside some of the leading specialists in congenital heart disease, inherited cardiac conditions and cardiac imaging.

Birmingham Childrens Hospital is the UKs leading specialist paediatric Centre, caring for sick children and young people up to the age of 16. Main duties of the job
We havea national liver and small bowel transplant Centre and are a global Centre of excellence for complex heart conditions, the treatment of burns, cancer and liver and kidney disease.
The department offers a wide range of invasive and non-invasive investigations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the recording of ECGs, application of ambulatory ECG/BP monitors and assisting with Physiologist-led Exercise tolerance testing (ETT). The role also includes basic administration, reception duties, general housekeeping and supporting senior colleagues to include all grades of Physiology staff and clinical support worker in ensuring the smooth running of a high quality service to patients and their families. The candidate will be supported in obtaining their Certificate in Electrocardiography, if not already held.
