We are looking for a band 6 midwife to be
involved with clinical guidelines and lead on clinical audits.
You will need to be:
A band 6 midwife willing to learn about and
undertake clinical audit and assist in reviewing
and implementing new guidelines.
You
will be required to maintain your clinical skills by also working clinically at
BWH.
The
working hours:
Maternity
Governance- 17.5 hours per week: for the first 9 months worked on a Monday and
Thursday, changing to a Wednesday and Friday after this period.
Clinical
Area at BWH- minimum 7.5hrs/week
Main duties of the job
With support
from the Specialist Audit and Guidelines Midwife, the post holder will be
expected to undertake audit and assist with guidelines. By developing the audit
question, you will analyse the information found and produce audit reports
along with action plans. Presenting your findings to relevant groups will be
another aspect of the role.
You will
also be required to work alongside midwives and medical staff in the clinical areas,
promoting new practice and implementing actions arising from audit.
