Job summary
This post will be 0.6 WTE / 22.5 hours part time over three days, preferably Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate senior
palliative care nurse to join an innovative and progressive multi-disciplinary
team working across organisational boundaries to serve the needs of
life-limited children across the West Midlands. Birmingham is an interesting

children with life-limiting conditions.
Main duties of the job
As a nurse specialist you will demonstrate significant advanced knowledge
and skills within the specialty of palliative and end of life care. You will
have the ability to work autonomously and make critical judgements using expert
skills and experience. You will take a lead role facilitating the planning,
delivery, and evaluation of care outcomes for patients. It is expected you will
lead and participate in palliative and end of life care education and training
across the organisation. You will be expected to have excellent communication
and inter-personal skills and demonstrate leadership qualities and abilities.
You will be expected to lead and/or participate in service development
therefore having a good awareness and knowledge of national, regional, and
local drivers relating to palliative and end of life care is essential. The
ability to be able to relate this to clinical practice is also a requirement.
