Job summary
A bit about the team
Dove Team is an integrated team providing intrapartum shifts in both the midwifery led unit and consultant led unit. A full-time midwife can expect to work four day shifts and four nights shifts per month in the intrapartum setting, prioritising care for women in their caseload. The remainder of the hours are flexible and worked in the community setting caring for women and their families in the antenatal and postnatal period.
The team provide care to a small caseload of women, prioritising women and families with additional and complex needs. Women are referred by the community midwife at booking to the Dove Team that meet the criteria for additional and complex needs to ensure that specialist skills, knowledge and care can be provided.
Families are seen in the home setting for their antenatal and postnatal care, and live across South Birmingham
