Job summary

Do you have a passion for using information to help service managers and clinicians deliver effective high-quality services that make a real difference to service users and carers?

Our Information Team works closely with operational services to continuously develop reporting systems and services to help meet this challenge, and we are looking for proactive and enthusiastic Information Analysts to join us and make substantial contributions to this work. A key part of the role is to support operational services to identify information requirements and make effective use of business intelligence to support their work.

Main duties of the job

The role will involve understanding and meeting complex data and analysis requirements; supporting services in collecting and using high quality data effectively to support their work; participating in projects and work to extend reporting capability; automating and maintaining production of routine reports and data sets; increasing the availability and accessibility of information to clinicians and managers; and ensuring that all regular reports and data sets are delivered on time and to specification.

The post-holder will have the opportunity to work closely with, and develop a good knowledge and understanding of, an interesting range of NHS services, for example:

· Genetics

· Theatres and Surgery

· Medicine

· Emergency Department

· Maternity

· Gynaecology
