Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic nurse to join our established, friendly and supportive team of Breast Clinical Nurse Specialist in Chelsea. The post will focus on the holistic care of patients with primary and secondary breast cancer. If you have experience nursing breast oncology patients on treatment or clinical nurse specialist experience in the cancer pathway setting this post will be an excellent opportunity for you.
The successful candidate will join an established friendly team of nurses who work closely with ANP's, the medical and research nursing teams. However, if you have not got the experience and skills as a specialist nurse, we are able to offer support to develop, and this may be reflected in the banding. Please call us for more information.
Main duties of the job
- To assist in the provision of professional and clinical leadership and expertise in the care of the patient under your care, acting as a resource and consultant to provide information and support to patients, carers and staff.
- To liaise effectively with all members of the multi-disciplinary health care team so as to achieve a synchronised specialist service.
- To develop or contribute to the formulation of patient information.
- To develop or contribute to the formulation of policies.
- To provide informal and formal teaching, for patients, staff and carers as relevant e.g. academic courses provided by The School.
