We are looking for an experienced , self-motivated Project Manager to join our friendly team. The successful applicant will have extensive clinical research experience within a Biobank and be confident in all aspects of project management. Experience of liaising with key stakeholders and governance planning an dimplementation is essential. Excellent interpersonal, motivational and communication skills are required for this role.
The post will be cross-site (Chelsea and Sutton)
Main duties of the job
The Senior Project Manager will lead on the development and delivery of a new research tissue bank at The Royal Marsden, drawing from the human tissue samples held in the diagnostic archive collected in thecourse of delivering standard care.
Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the successful candidate will manage the scoping, governance and implementation initiatives, ensuring that they are delivered on time (fully functioning bank within 11 months of recruitment) and to the highest standards.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about advancing clinical research with the ability to design and deliver critical new infrastructure.
The post-holder will be responsible for managing the development and delivery of all work relating to the establishment of the bank, including, but not limited to:
- Establish appropriate project governance framework.
- Report activity, progress, risk and issues to appropriate project governance meetings.
- Liaise with the key stakeholders, working closely with the pathology team, biobank team and external supplier of diagnostic archive offsite storage, and developing strong relationships with other organisations that have a similar research tissue bank.
