Job summary

The Senior Internal Communications Manager is a key member of the Marketing and Communications team, supporting the Head of PR and Communications to develop and deliver the internal communications strategy for the Trust. As the lead for internal communications, supported by the PR and Communications Assistant, you will be an experienced internal communications specialist adept at advising colleagues at all levels within the organisation on best practice in engaging staff and ensuring that key messages land at the right time in the right way. You will take a lead on key campaigns, including engagement with the development plans for our Chelsea and Sutton sites and sharing news of VIP visitors, and work closely with teams across the hospital to ensure strategic projects and programmes are communicated effectively with staff. You will have a proven track record for delivering internal communications plans to engage and inform staff working in a non-desk-based environment and have experience of managing stakeholders of all levels both within and outside an organisation.

Main duties of the job

To develop and implement the Trust's internal communications strategy, delivering a proactive plan to ensure all staff, regardless of role, feel connected to the organisation and that they have a voice on key issues. You will use both traditional and digital channels to achieve this.
