Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Finance Manager to join our Corporate Services Finance Team. This position reports to the Finance Business Partner (BP) and has direct line management responsibility for an Assistant Finance Manager. You will be joining a collaborative, hardworking and inclusive Finance Department.
To maintain the integrity of the finance systems database, processes, and reports, liaising with the Trust's finance systems outsourced provider. Ensuring that the systems and reports are fit for purpose in contributing to the achievement of the Trust's objectives. With your team, you will be responsible for the production of high-quality financial information, including monthly management accounts, quarterly forecasts and variance analysis; and with the support of the Finance BP, you will be leading the development and production of the annual budget for the divisions and supporting with business cases.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong technical skills and outstanding communication skills, a passion for best practice and high calibre influencing skills. You will be a natural leader who enjoys leading and motivating a team and managing and building strong working relationships. Main duties of the job
1. To support the preparation of Trust level finance papers, ensuring that information is prepared in anaccurate and timely manner, and is consistent with Divisional reporting.
2. To design and develop complex ad hoc reports as required.
3. To support on Annual Planning for the Trust, including liaising with NHSIE and STP (ICB).
4. Support any deep dive or ad-hoc analysis required to better understand the financial position andquantify changes in trends of key drivers impacting the trust position in response to external regulators, strategic partners, and Trust Senior Management.
5. To lead the Finance department in maintaining the integrity of the finance systems database (Oracle)and for designing and implementing controls within Oracle.
6. To lead the Finance department in designing and developing the reporting capabilities of both Oracleand the BI tool to meet the needs of the Trust.
