Job summary
This exciting role will be required to provide leadership and support to the existing clinical audit and improvement team, and work with key individuals to facilitate the clinical audit and improvement agenda throughout the trust. Experience of delivering on local and national audits is a requirement. The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring the trust participates in GIRFT and Veterans Aware Accreditation. The successful candidate must be able use their initiative, and be able to demonstrate evidence of leading on and implementing improvements. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a project to given timescales and will be comfortable and experienced in working with senior staff and clinicians, providing expert advice, guidance and training across the organisation.
Main duties of the job
1.1. The post holder is responsible for managing the Clinical Audit and Effectiveness Facilitators and the Quality Improvement Auditor, including involvement in the annual appraisal process.1.2. To lead and support the Clinical Audit and Effectiveness Facilitators and the Quality Improvement Auditor.1.3 To support the Deputy Director of Patient Safety & Clinical Assurance with workforce planning and reform initiatives1.3. Be responsible for implementation of the clinical audit forward plan through project design, analysis, report preparation, dissemination of audits, action planning of all aspects of audit cycle. This includes National Audit requirements, NICE Guidance compliance, assisting with CQUIN data requirements where needed, local quality outcomes monitoring and other data returns as required.1.4. Contribute to the achievement of the quality priorities as detailed in the Trust's annual Quality Account.1.5. To coordinate the trust's participation in the Getting It Right First Time programme, ensuring that all data submissions are completed in a timely way and visits are co-ordinated. Ensure reports are submitted to the Integrated Governance and Risk Management committee as per the External Visits policy.1.6. To coordinate the trust's participation in the Veterans Aware Acreditation, ensuring that all submissions are completed in a timely way and visits/assessment are are co-ordinated.
