Job summary
Applications are invited for a Clinical Research Fellow post which is available for 12 months. The post has been established to support research and clinical duties within the Department. Extensive experience will be gained from trial design and management of phase I to III clinical trials. Submission of higher degree [MD (Res)] relating to clinical research projects are strongly encouraged. Translational research can be facilitated at the Institute of Cancer Research.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be based in the Royal Marsden Melanoma and Renal-Oncology unit working across site. As part of the clinical research team, the post holder will have considerable support from the existing Melanoma and Renal-Oncology Unit research infrastructure. Such support includes a trial coordinator, research data manager, research biological specimen coordinator, and clinical research nurse support. The consultants are experienced principal investigators and supervisors. The ICR provides an excellent program of research skills training and support, career development support/advice and clinical research mentorship. The clinical fellow will have access to an excellent program of lectures and training courses through the ICR.
