Job summary
Working closely with the Finance Manager and three Assistant Finance Managers, you will be producing high quality financial information, including analysis of grants, commercial trial finances, monthly management accounts and forecasts.
You will be looking to develop your skills in providing sound support and advice to the research teams to help manage their research portfolio finances. You will have excellent communication skills and be highly computer literate, with excellent attention to detail.
Main duties of the job
To produce monthly budget statements and associated reports and reconciliations for a range of budgets in accordance with agreed timetables- to calculate monthly prepayments and accruals and input journals to the general ledger- to review the draft budget statements each month and make any necessary adjustments- to update budgets for in-year adjustments- to provide information to the Assistant Finance Manager to assist in the production of a monthly Divisional/Directorate financial performance report.- to provide additional information as required
