Due to some exciting developments within The Royal Marsden School, we are seeking to recruit an experienced registered cancer nurse or allied health professional to join our team of Lecturer Practitioners.

This role is integral to the progress of the School, which now has two newly developed innovative MSc programmes. This role will suit a senior professional who can demonstrate a commitment to enhancing patient care through excellent education. We are seeking an individual with energy, creativity, and expertise, to help our learners develop as cancer professionals. The successful candidate will ideally have a wide range of skills, specifically expertise and experience in cancer and palliative care. They will play a prominent role in the development of future cancer healthcare professionals through excellent education, whilst having support and opportunities to continue to develop their own professional and clinical practice.

This role is available at a Band 7 or Band 8a grading.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will make an important contribution in realising the strategic vision of the School, which is to enhance the care of people affected by cancer by inspiring, challenging and developing innovative health professionals through excellent education. Joining a team of highly qualified Lecturer Practitioners, you will work closely with the Course Leads to contribute to the teaching and delivery of our post-registration and post-graduate courses, short bespoke courses, and study days both face to face and through virtual learning platforms. You will facilitate and support student learning through leading, coordinating and delivering validated modules. In addition, this role will provide opportunities to engage and in clinical practice, scholarship, and research.
