Job summary
Applications are invited for a 10PA Locum Consultant Clinical Oncologist - Gynaecology to work on the Chelsea site of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust for 12 months.
Main duties of the job
This post has been created to support and develop the clinical oncology Gynaecology Oncology service in Chelsea due to increasing workload and treatment complexity. The post-holder will join the 5 existing gynaecology oncology clinical and medical oncology consultants to ensure there is a co-ordinated service for outpatient, inpatient and clinical trial care. They will work closely with the Consultant Clinical Oncologist at Chelsea, Dr Alexandra Taylor. The current workload of 180-200 new patients per year will be shared. Cross-cover for annual and study leave will be incorporated into the job plan, and joint radiotherapy audit meetings will be held to facilitate peer-review and teaching. Training in advanced brachytherapy will be provided depending on the candidate's experience. They will participate in the oncology on-call rota.
