Job summary
We are delighted to be recruiting for a Cancer Pharmacist to work as part of our Oncology and Haematology Pharmacy teams at The Royal Marsden. This is an ideal opportunity for a pharmacist looking to specialise in cancer treatments and to gain experience working in a world-leading cancer centre. You will be supported in gaining focused training in specific tumour types under the guidance of our specialist pharmacists and the wider MDT, across both oncology (solid tumours) and haematology (bloods cancers), as well as in both adult and paediatric settings. You will also be supported in attaining your independent prescribing qualification, once you have gained the necessary experience, as well as the opportunity to develop your research, education, and management skills.
Main duties of the job
This role is key to delivering a high quality SACT service which encompasses the medical day unit, outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, as well as out of hospital SACT delivery and administration. This post will be supporting the multidisciplinary team through regular attendance of outpatient clinics which provides the unique opportunity to be a part of the patient's journey from prescribing of SACT through to administration, working with key stakeholders within pharmacy, nursing and medicine to promote timely delivery of SACT and to continually improve outcomes for our patients.
