Job summary
We are recruiting to a brand new post - Clinical Research Committees and Strategy Manager. This is an exciting role which has been established to support the ongoing deepening of the partnership working between The Royal Marsden and our academic partner the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) by ensuring the tracking, delivery and reporting to of all workstreams and associated arising actions. The role will also lead the secretariat function.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organised with excellent attention to detail, and proficient in communicating with a wide range of very senior stakeholders across The Royal Marsden and the ICR. They will have the ability to efficiently and effectively project manage research initiatives to realise wide-ranging benefits to both organisations.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will:o Work in close partnership with the equivalent post at the ICR (Committees and Strategy Manager), providing cross-cover as required and delivering together as a singular team.o Directly provide, and lead the secretariat team that also provides, excellent secretariat support for key committees across the partnership of The Royal Marsden and the ICR.o Provide senior support to the partnership of The Royal Marsden and the ICR, through a combination of both committee and project management. This will require the development and implementation of new tracking systems to record and follow-up on the delivery of all workstreams and associated arising actions. Responsibility for delivery of some activities will be with the post-holder solely, whereas responsibility for other activities will lay with other stakeholders that the post-holder must work with to ensure delivery.o Identify and drive forward opportunities for working with the ICR on research services and operational matters.
