Clinical Fellow - Medical Oncology GI

Hours: 40 hours
Duration: 6 months to start as soon as possible
Location: Sutton
The post holder will have the opportunity to join the general medical oncology on-call SpR rota.
Main duties of the job
The Royal Marsden Hospital is inviting applicants for a medical oncology clinical fellow. This clinical post will involve working under supervision of the consultants within GI medical oncology team based in Sutton in conjunction with the multidisciplinary teams to deliver services to patients, lead on innovative teaching programs, deliver quality improvement projects and initiate new clinical research.

Essential
- MB BS, or equivalent
- MRCP , or equivalent
- Full GMC registration
Knowledge
Essential
- Broad based knowledge of and understanding of General Medicine and some oncology experience
Training Expected
Essential
- It is anticipated that the appointee will have completed CMT2 or equivalent in medicine
Desirable
- Experience in Oncology.
- Previous chemotherapy prescribing experience
Management/Audit Experience
Essential
- Experience of clinical audit
Personal Skills
Essential
- Good presentational and verbal skills
Desirable
- Computer literacy/ IT skills appropriate to a clinical service using computerised record systems and electronic prescribing system (VARIS)
