Part-qualified Post Holders will be hired at Band 6 and moved to Band 7 on successful completion of recognised accountancy qualification. Qualified post-holders will be hired at Band 7.
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Assistant finance Manager to join the Clinical Services Finance Team and Operational and Private Patients Finance team. It is an excellent opportunity to support various different areas of the Royal Marsden supporting several stakeholders and gaining a great understanding of the Trust as a whole and making a real impact. You will be joining a collaborative, hardworking and inclusive finance department who encourage development and high standards.
With the support of the Finance manager, the post-holder will be responsible for producing reports, projections and analysis and will liaise with budget holders and other managers to generate "intelligence" to support forecasting and the medium term business planning process as well as providing variance analysis on a shorter term basis.
The successful candidates will be intelligent and self-motivated with excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationship both internally within Finance and with external stakeholders. - To be responsible for the production of the monthly budget statements and associated reports for a wide range of budgets in accordance with agreed timetables
- To develop and maintain an integrated financial performance report, including a year end forecast, highlighting key variances and trends in activity and finance, commenting on influencing factors andadvising on any necessary management action.
- To meet regularly with budget holders and Senior Managers to assess financial performance and to provide financial management information, analysis and advice to them regarding key risks and criticalsuccess factors in achieving financial targets.
