Experience and Qualifications

Essential

• Basic Medical Degree
• FRCR or appropriate specialist qualification
• Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice
• CCT in Radiology or equivalent (equivalence must be confirmed by GMC by date of AAC)
• Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the AAC

Desirable

• Higher Degree
• Distinctions, scholarships, prizes, other degress e.g. BSc, MSc, MS

Clinical Skills & Experience

Essential

• Broad experience of general acute diagnostic imaging (including trauma CT) and general outpatient imaging (including trauma CT) and general outpatient imaging
• Dedicated Cardiothoracic radiology training
• Experience of sub-speciality chest reporting including HRCT
• Evidence performing and reporting Cardiac CT
• Experience performing and reporting Cardiac MRI
• Experience in leading multidisciplinary discussions

Desirable

• Evidence of lung biopsy experience
• Experience of diagnostic neck US
• Experience of US guided IR procedures including drain insertion and biopsies

Knowledge

Desirable

• Breadth of experience in and outside specialty

Organisation & Planning

Essential

• oExperience and ability to work in multi-professional teams
• oUnderstanding of: NHS / Clinical governance / Resource constraints
