Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Medical Secretary to join our team in the Ophthalmology Department at Southlands Hospital.
Duties include providing a comprehensive and efficient secretarial and administrative service to the Ophthalmology Consultants and the wider members of our team to include Specialty Doctors, Trust Grades and Deanery Doctors , to ensure all work is prioritised according to the needs of the service.
Main duties of the job
Duties include providing a comprehensive and efficient secretarial and administrative service to the Ophthalmology Department .
Managing your workload you will require excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with NHS colleagues, patients, relatives, by telephone, email and face to face.
You must be adaptable, have excellent communication skills and have the ability to embrace change.
Knowledge of working within a health care environment is desirable but not essential.
