Lead FFP3 Mask Fit Tester

Job summary
The Lead Mask Fit Tester will manage and lead the Fit Testing team on a day-to-day basis, and cross site working will be a requirement of the role. The post holder will provide leadership to the fit testing service.
They will support colleagues to plan, monitor and evaluate the fit testing service and act a role model within the service and exhibit the expected standards at work.
They will provide specialist knowledge and training within Fit Testing. You will provide direction and lead the team to fit testing patient facing staff, supporting and developing colleagues by mentoring and assessing their skills, in addition to rolling out the service trust wide.
Main duties of the job
- Cross site working is required , with flexibility based on service demands.
- Manage and develop the staff fit testing service.
- Ensure all members of the fit testing service have been trained and are competent to undertake fit testing on UHSussex staff
- Ensure fit testing is available to all relevant UHSussex staff on all UHSussex sites, including satellite units.
- Overall responsibility for the organisation, prioritisation and arrangement of fit testing.
- Clear and concise communication/ presentation at infection prevention and control meetings and senior level infection prevention and control operational group meetings. This includes communicating/ presenting data of fit testing compliance rates by staff group, speciality and divisions.
- Provide expert training and clearadvice on FFP3 masks (disposable and reusable),equipment, governance and legislation.
- Ensure equipment is annually serviced, maintained and inventory levels are sufficient.
- Responsibly for maintaining accurate fit testing staff records utilising digital systems.
