Healthcare Assistant/Receptionist

Job summary
The Diabetes and Endocrinology Department is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to work as a Receptionist/Health Care Assistant within our busy department on a full time basis.
This is a challenging role dealing with patients coming in for a variety of appointments in our department.
You will also support our Co-ordinators with scanning paperwork and answering the telephone.
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following skills:* Excellent customer service skills.*Be able to work well under pressure.* Communicate well with patients and other staff of all levels.* Be able to operate effectively as part of a team or using your own initiative.
You will be supported by experienced staff whilst working as part of a team delivering a high quality service to patients and other departments within the hospital.
Main duties of the job
- Greeting patients
- Checking patients in
- Answering the telephone
- Outcoming clinics
- Supporting clinicians before their clinics
- Providing HCA support within the department where necessary
- Scanning documents onto Evolve
- Prepping clinics
