Breast Consultant Radiologist
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Integrated Breast Services at the University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust for 2 fixed term Consultant Radiologist posts at Worthing with cross site working (Brighton).
The role will be a full time 10PA post with the opportunity to cover all aspects of the breast screening and breast imaging services. This includes breast screening reporting, screening assessment clinics, one stop 2WW rule clinics, ultrasound and interventional lists and depending on experience MRI and cross-sectional reporting.
The successful candidate will join a busy Integrated Breast Service, providing breast screening to a population of over 130,000 women, receiving over 8,000 GP referrals and treating around 1000 new breast cancers.
There is a purpose-built stand-alone breast unit at Worthing hospital with modern digital equipment including tomosynthesis and VAB/E. Digital equipment is also available at Brighton.
Main duties of the job
The clinical duties of the post will include the following:
o Support breast screening reporting, screening assessment clinics and arbitration sessionso Support one stop symptomatic clinicso Support ultrasound and interventional procedures, including VAB/E and localisation procedureso Report breast MRIs / cross sectional imagingo Support interval cancer and previously assessed cancer reviews
No on-call commitments.

- oBasic medical degree
- oPostgraduate qualification or appropriate specialist qualification
- oFull GMC Registration with a licence to practice
