We are looking for 2 Undergraduate Administrators to join our Medical Education team. Although the positions are based at Royal Sussex County Hospital, there will be occasions where cross-site cover is needed, specifically Prince Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath.

The post holder will support the Undergraduate MEM and Leads and will administer and co-ordinate the programmes of Undergraduate Education for years 3, 4 and 5 medical students from various British medical schools, as well as elective and clinical placements and shadowing opportunities for medical students.

Main duties of the job

Medical education faculty teams and other integrated education staff to ensure medical education delivers the Service Level Agreement with affiliated medical schools. The post holder organises and co-ordinates the educational programme for Years 3, 4 and 5 medical students taking a placement at the Trust. They have contact with different cohorts of medical students per year co-ordinating with other departments to organise their induction, timetable, arranging their accommodation and dealing with their enquires for the duration of their stay. They work closely with the Medical Education Manager and Accommodation Manager to assist with accommodation arrangement, maintain accurate records of rotations, student information and educational supervisors.

The post-holder co-ordinates and supporting medical schools OSCEs.

The post holder is responsible for medical students' placements. They will also assist with elective / clinical experience for students considering medicine as their career choice.

To clearly explain complex mandatory educational requirements and issues to medical students.

To manage the requirement to work within a non-routine and constantly changing educationalenvironment in an evolving student curriculum and framework with students from different schools, following different curricula and at different stages of training.
