We are looking for a motivated individual to work as a Physiotherapy Technical Instructor within our well-established Neurological Therapy team. This role will be focused on providing a high standard of Physiotherapy treatment to our patients, aiding their rehabilitation following a neurological event.
You will have excellent opportunities for your own skills development, this post will start as a permanent Band 2 position and potentially progress to a Band 3 once appropriate competencies have been met. You will work within a strong and supportive MDT and alongside an established peer group of Physiotherapy Support Workers. Main duties of the job
- To work as part of the Neurological Physiotherapy Team providing a high quality and comprehensive therapy service to patients.
- To assist the physiotherapists in the assessment and treatment of patients.
- To work effectively in acute, rehabilitation unit and out-patient environments.
- To provide skilled and insightful aid in the rehabilitation of patients.
- To manage a delegated patient caseload as referred by the physiotherapist and treat according to treatment protocols, being able to make alterations when required by assessment of patient progression.
- To work in varied and unsupervised settings, with personal or telephone access to physiotherapist.
- To provide non-clinical services to the neurological team e.g. administrative duties, data inputting, maintaining a safe environment and maintaining equipment.
