Job summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Medical Education Manager (MEM) to join our Medical Education team. This pivotal role ensures the effective coordination and delivery of postgraduate medical education, supporting trainees, faculty, and Site Directors of Medical Education (DMEs).As a key leader in medical education, you will oversee training governance, faculty development, and compliance with GMC, NHSE, and Royal College standards. You will manage key educational workstreams, ensure high-quality training delivery, and provide vital support for medical trainees and supervisors.This role requires strong leadership, organisational, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate complex educational frameworks and drive service improvements. Main duties of the job
This is a Medical Education Manager (WASH) post with a lead Trust workstream. Working with the Director of Medical Education, Educational Leads, and Medical Education and Integrated Education Senior Team to ensure the Trust meets its contractual requirements and maintains a supportive learning environment for medical trainees. Responsible for the overall coordination of the medical education programmes ensuring the effective delivery of education and training and related requirements to the highest quality and in line with the requirements of the Trust, GMC, NHS England and the Royal Medical Colleges.
To set up, where applicable, and maintain effective and efficient systems and processes; ensuring the Site complies with the Educational Governance and corporate Governance frameworks for both the Trust and the external bodies. The post holder is responsible for ensuring that the medical education resources/facilities are fully utilised. Responsible for supervision of the site-based Medical Education Team.
