Staff Nurse - Rheumatology Infusion Nurse

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the rheumatologyday case infusion unit. This is a great introduction to the rheumatology team that is well-led , inclusive andsupportive.

The unit is based at the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath in the Sussex Orthopaedic treatment centre and is a Monday to Friday service. The post involves providing infusion-based treatments and supporting the clinical administrative process.

It is an ideal role for someone who wishes to remain in a patient facing role thatis less physically demanding than a general ward position.

Training will be provided in all aspects of the role which canbe busy and varied.

Main duties of the job

  • Undertake clinical administrative work to arrange infusion based treatments, including the interpretation of blood results.
  • Administer intravenous infusions.
  • Promote the health and well-being of patients.
  • Maintain effective communication with people about routine and daily activities.
  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care.
  • Ensure efficient use of resources.
