Job summary

We are looking for a well-organised, motivated individual to join our busy and friendly team within the West Sussex Breast Screening Department.

You will be required to work to a high standard of accuracy and be able to demonstrate initiative in planning your own workload in a way that supports the Breast Screening department. We require the candidate to have agood attendance recordand be flexible in their approach to work, we are also flexible towards colleagues within service demands as a work/life balance is extremely important to us.

The successful post holder should have a proactive and friendly attitude and be able to demonstrate substantial administrative experience and be able to meet the main duties of the role as identified in the job description.

Main duties of the job

To co-ordinate, enter and resolve data issues to enable the West Sussex Breast Screening Service to submit accurate annual reports and returns. To support Consultant Radiologists in carrying out mandatory audits (i.e. interval cancer audit). Provide efficient day-to-day operation Breast Screening Call/Recall System and supporting all consultant radiologists/clinicians and the office manager within the Department.

To perform a variety of client related secretarial, clerical and reception duties in the Breast Screening Unit.

To communicate effectively with a wide variety of clients and members of the Multidisciplinary Team.
