Finance Officer - Credit Control

Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Accounts Receivable/Credit Control team based at Worthing hospital.

Reporting to the Credit control Supervisor you will be responsible for the efficient collection of debts to our trust. This will involve making contact by telephone and email with debtors ranging from large NHS organisations to small Non NHS companies and individuals.

The successful candidate will need to have good negotiating skills and the ability to work well under pressure. You will often need to liaise with other staff members of the Trust in order to help resolve queries and escalate disputes that may occur.

You will also need to be flexible, adaptable and willing to help cover other roles within the Financial Services team if required.

Previous experience in Credit Control is highly desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided. A short test will be required after the interview.

Main duties of the job

Undertake financial processing in accordance with agreedprocedures and to agreed deadlines

Investigate and respond to queries from staff and externalbodies e.g. suppliers as required
