Education and Apprenticeship Team Assistant Apprentice

Job summary

Over the duration of your apprenticeship, you will develop the skills that will allows you to provide a high quality administration and customer focused support service to a range of internal and external customers. You will also study a Level 3 Business Administration or equivalent qualification as well as Level 2 Maths and English if required.

You will also deliver the skills that will allow you to deliver an accurate and effective administrative support to colleagues within the Education and Apprenticeship team.

Main duties of the job

  • Answer routine learning and development enquiries, both in person, on the phone and via email, from staff who may have varying levels of ability to understand, whose first language is not English, or who may not be IT literate.
  • Provide and receive routine information and give explanations and instructions clearly and concisely.
  • Respond to routine emails within the Learning & Development generic in-boxes. Ensuring all emails are responded to within the Service Level Agreements.
  • Follow departmental policies and processes and contribute to procedural and process changes which improve departmental effectiveness.
  • Administering and providing support to the Learning and Development team.

Communication

Service Delivery and Improvement

  • Respond to routine emails within the Learning & Development generic in-boxes. Ensuring all emails are responded to within the Service Level Agreements.
  • Follow departmental policies and processes and contribute to procedural and process changes which improve departmental effectiveness.
  • Administering and providing support to the Learning and Development team, e.g. organising meetings, taking minutes, filing, data entry.
  • Participating pro-actively in team meetings and contribute ideas for improvement within the service.

People Management and Development

  • Provide advice and guidance to new or less experienced Learning & Development administrators.

Patient Care Delivery

  • Only incidental contact with patients.

Learning and Development

  • Attend mandatory training updates as required.
  • Undertake training as necessary in line with the development of the post and as agreed with the line manager as part of the personal development process.
  • Achieve and demonstrate agreed standards of personal and professional development within agreed timescales.
  • Identify own learning needs and jointly plan training requirements with your line manager
  • Participate in the Trusts appraisal process to discuss how your role will help deliver the best possible care to our patients and help to deliver any changes in service.
