Job summary
We are looking for two outstanding clinicians wishing to actively develop Interventional Radiology at a Level 1 trauma hospital, support the centralisation of regional vascular services, and contribute to the expanding non-vascular IR workload in the spoke hospital, including hepatobiliary and oncology intervention.
There are many opportunities provided by working University Hospitals Sussex with a strong commitment to clinical excellence, teaching and research, and high quality patient experience. A completely new hospital, including new state of the art IR department has opened in 2023, as part of the 3T development (Teaching, Tertiary services and Trauma). We have close working relationships with our referring colleagues to make a strong, growing, ambitious unit.
Main duties of the job
Successful applicants will contribute to a 1:9 regional IR on call rota and experience in embolisation techniques are essential. Demonstration of comprehensive IR training and experience will be expected. EVAR training can be provided on the job if required. Additional sub-speciality interests will be considered.
Sussex is also a great location to live near to the London Gatwick airport, seaside and South Downs and also has excellent schools nearby. It is also commuting distance to London for partners.
