Job summary
Are you a team player, wanting to work in a supportive department, but have been too apprehensive to join A&E? St Richards Emergency Department could be the place for you!
We are on the search for motivated Band 2 Emergency Nursing Assistants to work in our department and become embedded within our team.
We strive to provide the best support and nurture for our staff, so they can be the best they can be, and provide safe quality care for our patients. Education is at the heart of our departmental ethos and you will be provided with a rigorous induction programme and support from our practice development sister, you will have access to in house study days and learning skills from Minors to Immediate Life Support.
You will have the opportunity to work in a variety of different clinical settings. You will be given the opportunity to gain new skills.
Ideally candidates should have acute hospital or equivalent front line experience and should be prepared to work a variety of shifts including internal rotation, weekends/ nights and bank holiday. We have a shift pattern of 11.5hr days and nights.

Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, kind and dedicated team players to join our Emergency Department as a Band 2, Emergency Nursing Assistants.This post offers an excellent learning opportunity for experienced Nursing Assistants to work within the emergency care setting.We are looking for a caring, committed, flexible and hardworking Nursing Assistants, with good written and verbal communication skills, Healthcare related NVQ, BTEC or equivalent at Level 2 is essential and previous experience of working within an acute hospital trust is also very desirable.The post holder will work under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse or Doctor and will be accountable to the Registered Nurse you are working with. You will work to your level of experience, assessed competence and skill within the post. You will support and enhance the delivery of quality care, by assisting patients in all aspects of their care, in order to promote a positive patient experience, in line with our Patient First Programme.
